The story

One product, one vendor –continuously developed for over 30 years.

You may know DIA2000 or the [DIA] Analysis Management software from your SPECTRO, Bruker or Hitachi spectrometer. What many don’t know: since 1992 it has come from a single company – Fink & Partner in Goch, Germany. And today it’s called [FP]-LIMS.

1992

Birth of the [DIA] software

Peter Niemann and Hans-Jochen Fink found Fink & Partner GmbH in Goch. [DIA] stands for “Database for Integrated Analysis Management” – the birth of modern analysis management.

2002

DIA2000SE becomes industry standard

SPECTRO Analytical Instruments ships DIA2000SE by default with every spark spectrometer in the SpectroLAB and SpectroMAXx families.

2006

Bruker Elemental joins in

Bruker Elemental (formerly Quantron Advanced Analytical Systems) also distributes the software – soon followed by Hitachi. Three of the world’s largest OES manufacturers rely on a single piece of software.

2020

[DIA] becomes [FP]-LIMS

The solution grows into a full-fledged Laboratory Information Management System. Audit trail, roles & permissions, modern interfaces, Windows-11-ready – analysis management evolves into a true LIMS.

FAQ.

Is [FP]-LIMS the same as DIA2000?
[FP]-LIMS is the direct successor to DIA2000 / DIA2000SE / DIA 2.5. Same vendor (Fink & Partner), same data model – but with modern interfaces, audit trail, Windows-11 compatibility and full LIMS functionality. Your DIA data is fully migrated when you switch.
We got our spectrometer from SPECTRO / Bruker / Hitachi with DIA on it. Are you our point of contact?
Yes. The software has come from Fink & Partner in Goch since 1992. SPECTRO, Bruker and Hitachi have shipped it with their instruments for over two decades – but it was developed and maintained here all along. We are your direct contact for support, updates and the upgrade to [FP]-LIMS.
What does it cost to upgrade from DIA2000 to [FP]-LIMS?
Entry starts at €3,500 with the Light edition. Which edition fits you, we sort out in a short call – for most DIA2000 customers, Light or Standard is more than enough. Full details on dia2000.com.
We’re not in metals or foundry. Does [FP]-LIMS still fit?
Yes. [FP]-LIMS is now used across many industries – chemicals, fertilisers, recycling, electronics, plastics, steel, automotive. The OES world is our origin, but no longer our only focus.
How long does implementation take?
Small labs are often productive within a few days. Larger group structures with ERP integration, workflows and multiple sites naturally take longer – we plan it together with you.
Does [FP]-LIMS offer SAP® integration?
Yes. The [FP]-LIMS SAP interface is SAP-certified for integration with RISE with SAP S/4HANA Cloud. Bidirectional data exchange between lab and ERP – without media breaks.
